Description

Lumether Forte combination therapy is indicated for the treatment of acute uncomplicated malaria caused by Plasmodium falciparum, including malaria acquired in chloroquine-resistant areas. May also be used to treat uncomplicated malaria when the Plasmodium species has not been identified. Indicated for use in adults and children greater than 5 kg. (acute, uncomplicaed Malaria caused by Plasmodium falciparum

Side Effects

Headache, dizziness, loss of appetite, weakness, fever, chills, tiredness, muscle/joint pain, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, cough, and trouble sleeping may occur. If any of these effects persist after stopping the medication or if these effects worsen while taking this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly.

Precautions

Before taking artemether/lumefantrine, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to artemether or lumefantrine; or if you have any other allergies. This product may contain inactive ingredients, which can cause allergic reactions or other problems. Talk to your pharmacist for more details.

Drugs to avoid : Some products that may interact with this drug are birth control pills or hormone replacement therapy,n antidepressant,antibiotics, antifungal medicine, or medicine to treat tuberculosis,antiviral medicine to treat HIV or AIDS.
